We are seeking a Project Automation Executive to join our large-scale industrial project, responsible for overseeing all project automation works, including selecting equipment, assembly, commissioning, and leading contractors to ensure timely and safe project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage all project automation activities, including equipment selection, assembly, installation, and commissioning.
• Lead and supervise contractors on-site, ensuring work is executed according to project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of automation systems.
• Review, approve, and maintain all technical documentation required from contractors and suppliers, such as Cause & Effect Matrices, I/O Lists, and Interlock Diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and project specifications for automation systems.
• Actively manage critical equipment and spare parts, developing hardware and software redundancy strategies to minimize system downtime.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and functional integration of PLCs, RTUs, and package systems with the main DCS system.
• Maintain communication and configuration of industrial networks, SCADA, DCS, and HMI systems, ensuring smooth operation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and ensure compliance with IEC 61511 lifecycle requirements, including HAZOP/LOPA and SIS boundary coordination.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in industrial automation projects.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong leadership skills, capable of managing teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Advanced experience in Siemens SIMATIC PCS7 DCS architecture (Engineering Station, OS Server/Client, Redundant AS, APL Library).
• Advanced knowledge and experience in PLC programming (TIA Portal, SIMATIC Manager).
• Competent in SCADA, DCS, and HMI (WinCC, OS Server Structures, Web Navigator) configuration and management.
• Expert-level knowledge of industrial communication networks and topologies (PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Industrial Ethernet, Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA).
• Knowledgeable in industrial database structures; database and reporting logic; familiar with SQL Server and similar database structures; able to manage data archiving (logging) and operational reporting processes.
• Actively involved in the installation and commissioning phases of large-scale projects; managed communication and functional integration processes between the main DCS system and subsystem (PLC, RTU, Package Systems).
• Capable of requesting, reviewing, and approving all technical documentation required by the project from contractors and suppliers (Cause & Effect Matrix, I/O List, Interlock Diagrams, etc.).
• Able to manage critical equipment and spare parts; capable of developing hardware/software redundancy strategies to minimize system downtime risks.
• Proficient in technical drawing interpretation (E-plan) in electrical and automation projects, P&ID analysis, IEC 61511 lifecycle knowledge (HAZOP/LOPA awareness), SIS boundary and SRS coordination under IEC 61511, and full command of international standards (IEC, ISA).
